Day 1: Advancing from Development to Deployment
On 23–24 September 2026, the ENERGENIUS consortium gathered in Valencia for the 5th General Assembly meeting, hosted by project partners Etra I+D and Voltiva Energy. The two-day meeting brought together partners from across Europe to review project progress, strengthen collaboration, and define the next steps in the development of innovative solutions supporting the energy transition.
The first day of the general assemply focused on assessing the progress achieved across the project’s technical developments and preparing the transition towards deployment. Partners presented updates on the development and integration of the ENERGENIUS tools, reviewing their current status, key achievements, remaining challenges and upcoming milestones.
Particular attention was given to the readiness of the solutions for pilot implementation and the practical steps required for user onboarding. Partners reviewed progress across the tools, including the pilot user registration process, interaction with key solutions, and an overview of the PANORAMA environment, helping align technical development with real-world pilot requirements.
A dedicated workshop on Energy Flexibility as a Service explored how ENERGENIUS solutions can move beyond development towards practical applications and future market opportunities. The session examined potential pathways for translating the project’s technological innovations into services that can respond to evolving energy market needs, while also considering opportunities for exploitation and wider uptake.
The first day brought together technical, business and pilot perspectives, strengthening coordination across the consortium and supporting the transition from development towards deployment and real-world application.
Day 2: Advancing Pilot Readiness and Preparing for the Next Steps
The second day of the 5th ENERGENIUS General Assembly focused strongly on the progress and readiness of the project’s pilot sites, bringing partners together to review the steps towards the upcoming launch and pilot execution.
As part of WP6, partners presented an overview of the current status of each pilot, providing updates on their level of readiness ahead of launch. The discussions focused on the readiness of the ENERGENIUS tools, the remaining technical and organisational requirements, and the pilot execution plans, ensuring that the different pilot sites are aligned for the next stage of implementation.
The day also included progress updates from WP1 and WP7, with partners sharing recent developments, discussing ongoing activities and outlining the next steps. The exchanges provided an opportunity to align work across the different work packages and ensure that development, pilot activities and communication and dissemination efforts continue to progress in parallel.
Preparing for Enlit Europe 2026
Another important topic was the consortium’s participation in Enlit Europe 2026, taking place in Vienna from 10–12 November 2026. Partners discussed the project’s presence at the event, including plans for a dedicated ENERGENIUS booth where the project will showcase its solutions and activities.
Representatives from the majority of consortium partners are expected to attend the event, creating an opportunity to promote ENERGENIUS, demonstrate its tools, exchange knowledge with industry stakeholders and participate in networking activities. The event will provide an important platform for presenting the project’s progress to a wider energy community and exploring opportunities for collaboration and future uptake.
Overall, Day 2 highlighted the consortium’s continued progress from development towards deployment, with the pilots moving closer to launch and partners actively preparing for the next phase of ENERGENIUS activities.
