The ENERGENIUS consortium gathered in Nea Moudania, Halkidiki, Greece, from 16 to 18 September 2025 for its 3rd General Assembly.
Over two productive days, partners from across Europe came together to review the project’s progress, align on next steps, and strengthen collaboration.
Day 1 and Day 2: Collaboration and Progress
The meeting provided a unique opportunity for the partners to:
- Present updates from the 10 pilot sites where the ENERGENIUS tools will soon be tested.
- Refine strategies for engagement, communication, and dissemination.
- Deepen collaboration within the ENERGENIUS project.
- Plan the rollout of innovative tools such as GURU, the AI energy assistant, and ENPLAY, the gamified simulation platform.
- Showcase the first prototype of EcoPulse, the ENERGENIUS smartwatch, which monitors energy use, comfort, and health indicators in real time. An important milestone: for the first time, participants had the chance to see and test EcoPulse hands-on
The sessions reaffirmed the project’s mission: placing citizens at the core of the energy transition and translating ambitious EU goals into tangible benefits for communities, businesses, and households.
Day 3: A Workshop Open to the Public
The highlight of the General Assembly was the public workshop, hosted at the Fisheries Museum of Nea Moudania, which brought together local authorities, businesses, and citizens for an open exchange of ideas.
Distinguished participants included:
- The Mayor of Nea Propontida, who welcomed the consortium and underlined the importance of sustainable initiatives for the municipality.
- Representatives from the Chamber of Halkidiki, reinforcing the link between innovation and local business growth.
- Mr. Bane Prelevic, Deputy Regional Governor for Extroversion of the Region of Central Macedonia, who emphasized regional opportunities for collaboration.
- Stakeholders from the tourism and real estate sectors, highlighting how energy efficiency and green practices increase competitiveness.
- Representatives of local IT companies and citizens, who engaged actively with project partners on practical solutions for energy saving and sustainable living.
This workshop demonstrated how ENERGENIUS can bridge European innovation with local needs, ensuring that cutting-edge digital tools and AI-driven solutions deliver value to communities.
A Roadmap for Impact
The 3rd General Assembly in Nea Moudania reaffirmed ENERGENIUS’ holistic approach: combining digital tools, cross-sectoral knowledge, and active citizen participation to create a clear and inclusive roadmap for a sustainable energy future.
